I’ve finished an amazing six months teaching in Yangon, Myanmar. It was an incredible six months with some of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever had the honor to work with. I was also able to travel around Southeast Asia – though there’s still plenty to return to (and yes, I do plan to return!)
In the meantime, I’m ready to hit up a place I was previously apprehensive to travel – AFREEEEKA!!!
Yes, that’s right – I’ll be spending my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY #30 (and the several months surrounding it) in Africa. Beginning in Mauritius, I’ll travel to Madagascar, then from Kenya to South Africa on an overland safari. There will be additional countries added, with possible stops in Ethiopia and Burundi, as well as my own added adventures to Comoros Islands, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique. All of my clothes have been swapped from the bright reds and oranges I’d collected in Asia to classic browns and greens so that I can become one with nature. I’ve highly considered getting a leopard dress, just in case… but so far have convinced myself to hold back on that purchase.
What do you think? Leopard print or no leopard print?
